Vietnam U16 team is in the same group with host Indonesia at the 2022 Southeast Asian U16 tournament

According to the draw results, U16 Vietnam team is in the same group A with hosts Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. Thailand U16 team is in Group B with Timor Leste, Laos and Brunei.

Meanwhile, Malaysia U19 will start the journey to defend the championship with a competition in Group C, along with Australia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

As planned, the 2022 Southeast Asian U16 Football Championship will take place in Indonesia from July 31 to August 13. To prepare for this tournament, the U16 Vietnam team under the guidance of coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan will focus on early July, after the end of the 2022 National U17 Championship qualifiers.
