Ho Chi Minh CityItems such as carbon paper, erasers, smart watches… are not allowed to be brought into the public 10th grade exam room.

On the morning of June 10, more than 94,000 candidates went to 150 test points to complete the procedures and learn the rules before entering the 10th grade exam on June 11-12.

At Le Van Tam Secondary School exam site (Binh Thanh district), the civil defense force and security guard separate the traffic flow from outside the gate, guide candidates to enter the school, avoid crowding. They looked at the diagram at the school yard, moved into the exam room.

Here, the proctor checks the exam card, the candidate’s citizenship identity, and adjusts the information in case of errors. Candidates who do not have a national identity card can use a student card. Next, the students were informed by the proctor about the rules and new points in this year’s exam.

According to the exam regulations, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room the following items: pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, rulers, pocket calculators without text editing function, no memory cards, according to the list published by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Items that are not allowed into the exam room include carbon paper; eraser; acoholic drink; weapons and explosives, incendiary; materials, devices that transmit or contain information that can be used to cheat during the test. Candidates are not allowed to wear smart watches.

Candidates will be suspended from the exam if they commit one of the following errors: bringing illegal items into the exam room, taking the test questions out of the exam room or receiving solutions from outside into the exam room; write and draw on the test paper the content that is not related to the test; engage in aggression or intimidation of those responsible during the examination or threaten other candidates.

Candidates who are warned once but during that time continue to violate the regulations at the level of reprimand or warning will also be suspended from the exam.

Suspended candidates must submit the exam papers, exam papers, exam papers, leave the examination room immediately after the decision is made and cannot take the following subjects. Students are only allowed to leave the test area after 2/3 of the time to take the essay test.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training noted that candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late when ordered to time the test will not be allowed to take the exam.

Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the exam has 150 test points, including 139 points for the normal test and 11 points for the specialized test. Each test site is arranged with at least 3 backup exam rooms for F0 candidates, suspected of being infected with Covid-19.

Each room can arrange a maximum of 24 candidates, each student can sit at one table or ensure the distance; The exam room is well ventilated and not air-conditioned.

The city mobilized 12,000 officials and teachers to participate in the examination and thousands of support staff to ensure safety at the test sites.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has 108,000 students graduating from secondary school, of which 94,000 students registered for the public 10th grade exam. Of these, more than 86,000 students took the regular 10th grade exam, about 6,400 took the specialized exam, and 1,300 took the integrated 10th grade exam.

The total target of 108 public high schools in the city is 73,000. Therefore, about 20,000 candidates will fail the public 10th grade exam. Students who do not pass the exam or do not register for the exam can continue studying at non-public high schools, continuing education centers, and vocational schools.
