Fraud to appropriate more than 7 billion through fake Facebook nick

Due to needing money to play and spend, around March 2022, Hieu set up a fake facebook nick named “Nguyen Tuan” to post ads for selling excavators at competitive prices from Laos to Vietnam. When a customer asks to buy a machine, the subject requires a deposit of 20 to 30% of the value in advance and promises 7 to 10 days after receiving the money to ship the car back to Vietnam to deliver to the customer. But after receiving the deposit, Hieu did not deliver the car as promised, but appropriated the money for personal consumption.

With the above trick, from March to May 2022, Hieu cheated and appropriated the properties of 14 victims in different provinces and cities nationwide with a total amount of over 7.3 billion VND. including 1 victim in Que Vo district, Bac Ninh province.

By professional measures, Bac Ninh province’s investigative police agency has seized 2 phones, 1 bank card, more than 200 million dong and 2 cars which are Hieu’s property due to criminal acts. at the same time continue to expand the investigation of the case.

Through the above incident, the police of Bac Ninh province advised people when making purchases through social networks to be cautious, choose acquaintances, trusted stores, avoid to perform virtual transactions but the lost money is real.
