iPhone 12 discounts to stimulate Vietnamese market
Before the launch of new products, specifically the iPhone 14 series, the market always has quite quiet months. Typically this June when people are not interested in buying new phones, instead spending money on other needs such as travel.
Therefore, many dealers have to reduce phone prices to stimulate demand and increase sales when the closer to the launch time of iPhone 14, the harder it is to sell old models.
iPhone 11, 12 discount
According to a reporter’s survey, at some authorized Apple dealers, the 64GB iPhone 11 has a starting price of 11.4 million VND, a decrease of about million VND compared to the previous month. This price is said to be comfortable because this model has been reduced to 10 million VND compared to when it was opened for sale in Vietnam in 2019.
Meanwhile, models like iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max have not recorded any price fluctuations this month compared to May 2022.

For iPhone 12, customers who buy the device in June 2022 will receive a discount of VND 500,000. Accordingly, the price of iPhone 12 Mini 64GB starts at VND 15 million, iPhone 12 64GB costs VND 15.9 million. The iPhone 12 Pro or Pro Max models are unchanged.
In this “light” discount, the iPhone 13 series is quite stable when there is no fluctuation in price and is still an attractive product.
At some retail supermarkets such as CellphoneS, FPT Shop… customers who buy the device through VNPAY wallet or order online also receive an additional discount of 500 thousand VND.
It is known that this iPhone 11 and 12 price adjustment is a separate program of some dealers to stimulate sales. Currently, Apple still does not have a discount program in Vietnam even though the new product is about to be released.
As usual, iPhone 14 series will be launched globally in September 2022 and return to Vietnam after 1 month. Therefore, it is inevitable that iPhone models that have been released for 2-3 years lose their attractiveness, forcing dealers to reduce prices to stimulate demand.
