Small way to life – Episode 2: Dung suffers when he remembers the past when his mother followed her son
Entering a new school, Dung (Hoang Long) has many difficulties in getting along with his new friends. As a cold person, since childhood, he lacked the caring hand of his mother, so it was even more difficult for Dung to open his heart to friends and teachers.
About Dung being criticized by the PE teacher, against the teacher, the homeroom teacher met him privately to solve it. Dung’s leg pain is true, but it is completely wrong for him to have offensive words about the teacher’s personal life and the teacher asked Dung to write a written apology to the teacher.

Today is Dung’s birthday, he is very excited and hopes his father will remember his birthday, but he did not expect that Dung’s father called to say he was busy to eat with his son.

Dung was bored and didn’t want to go home, he rushed into the game again and when it was dark, he called Uncle Thanh (People’s Artist Bui Bai Binh) for a motorbike taxi to take him for a walk around the lake. Waiting around many times, Mr. Thanh was frustrated and tired, thinking that Dung wanted to play a prank on him, so he did not accept to carry him anymore.

When he got home, Dung saw an envelope on the table saying: “You can buy whatever you like. Happy birthday son”. Dung realized that his father had not forgotten his son’s birthday, but his expression was too cold. Dung was sad, didn’t want to turn on the light in the room, he lay on the bed with tears ready to flow.
Not only on his birthday, when he was sick, his father did not take Dung to the doctor. Dung had to do everything on his own, taking care of himself. Dung’s father is a successful man with a busy job. He always thought that just bringing money home would make his son happy.

Fortunately, Dung still has close brothers and sisters. He was surprised when Khanh and Lam secretly held a small birthday party. Dung also received a very meaningful birthday gift when the two brothers had accumulated money for 6 months to buy Dung what he liked the most.
The three were not old enough to drink beer, so Khanh took out his father’s coffee to drink. Khanh drank a lot, so he vomited. At this time, his mother had just come home, seeing her son complaining of fatigue, she was extremely worried. Witnessing the scene where Khanh’s mother takes care of her son, Dung remembers his mother again.

But his childhood memories are just sad stories. Dad and Dung used to stand in the rain for hours in front of a motel waiting for his mother. When his mother came out with another man, Dung’s father couldn’t help but rushed in and yelled at Dung’s mother.
Since then, Dung’s father raised his son alone, not allowing Dung’s mother to come near his son.

Even though he knew what his mother did was wrong, he still remembered her. Looking at the pictures of parents who thoughtfully take care of Dung’s children, they feel sorry for themselves. After many years of “raising a rooster”, Dung’s father is now also having a new love and looking to buy a big house to welcome new people to live together. That made Dung feel more lost and lonely in his own house.
