Wimbledon 2022 has a total prize value of more than 40 million pounds

Although not ranked by ATP and WTA, Wimbledon 2022 boasts the highest total prize value ever.

Specifically, the men’s and women’s singles champions will receive £2 million each, while those who pass three qualifying matches will receive an amount of £62,000.

Previously, the 2020 season was canceled while in 2021, Wimbledon was only allowed to welcome spectators in very limited numbers.

Novak Djokovic is currently the defending champion in men’s singles, while Ash Barty will not participate in the defense of her women’s singles title after she announced her retirement from tennis earlier this year.

Wimbledon 2022 will officially start from June 27 to July 10, but without the participation of Russian and Belarusian players.
