Kia K5 – D-size sedan for technology-loving customers
The D-class sedan is aimed at young customers by Kia, focusing on sporty personality and interior space with lots of technology.

Along with the previously launched K3 model, the Kia K5 changed its makeover compared to the previous version with a sporty Fastback design.

K5’s exterior is influenced by the Kia EV6 electric car. The highlight is the “tiger nose” grille, stylized with the “Shark skin” multi-layered structure. Full LED lights connected to the grille. Daytime position lights Heart beat icon.
Seen from the side, the Fastback design style creates a highlight with the curved roof from the passenger compartment to the rear, similar to the Kia Stinger model. Along the body are lines that emphasize aerodynamics. Vehicles equipped with 18-inch wheels, 5-spoke dual-spoke design. LED taillights connect the two sides, below is a dual-exhaust cover.
High-tech interior
A representative of the distributor Thaco Auto said that the K5 interior design is aimed at young business travelers, the cabin design emphasizes science and ensures aesthetics.

The dash is highlighted with leather and wood grain metal cladding. The car has a 12.3-inch LCD driver’s center screen. In addition to basic operating information, this screen also displays images from a blind-spot camera system, similar to Sorento and Carnival.
10.25 inch touch screen entertainment. The 3-spoke D-cut steering wheel is wrapped in leather. Smart key, integrated remote start function. The high-end version adds steering wheel heating, seat cooling, passenger seats with one-touch relaxation mode, HUD screen, Moodlight 64 interior lights depending on choose color. In addition, this version is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, automatic anti-glare mirrors, LED touch lights, steering wheel gearshift paddles, electric seats and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Technology is also emphasized in the rear seats with heating on the GT-Line version, air-conditioning vents with 2 USB charging ports and hidden rear sunshades. In addition, Kia’s D-class sedan has a feature to warn people in the back seats, when the driver turns off the engine and gets off the car. This is a feature that can help prevent children or pets from being left in the car.
Engine and safety equipment
Kia K5 in Vietnam has two engine options. GT-Line version uses Smartstream 2.5 GDI engine, direct injection technology for a capacity of 191 horsepower and 246 Nm of pulling power. 8-speed automatic transmission.
Premium and Luxury versions use Smartstream 2.0 MPI engine, multi-point fuel injection technology for 150 horsepower and 192 Nm of pulling power. 6-speed automatic transmission.

The car has 4 optional operating modes including: Comfort, Eco, Sport and Smart. Safety features on Kia K5 have ADAS Active Safety Assist System, which integrates features such as: SVM panoramic camera, blind spot display on BVM screen, BCW blind spot warning.
