On April 29 and 30, there were a number of “sold-out” routes such as Kien Giang, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Can Tho City, and Da Lat City (Lam Dong). However, these routes are only sold out during peak hours. As for the time frame from 18:00 to 24:00 and the number of tickets on April 30, there are still available for passengers to travel.

According to a representative of Mien Tay Bus Station, on this holiday, only 5/127 units declared an increase in ticket prices according to regulations. Air ticket prices on holidays are very high

Noi Bai International Airport (HKQT) said that the number of passengers traveling by plane is recovering strongly. To meet the sudden increase in passenger demand, airlines continue to increase loads on many domestic routes. Specifically, VietJet increased 2,300 flights, equivalent to more than 500,000 seats, to serve domestic and international guests.

Similarly, Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) continues to sharply increase the number of flights on tourist routes. In which, the unit focuses on increasing the load on eight routes to tourist attractions including: Hanoi to Hue, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Da Lat, Phu Quoc; Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc.

Talking to Ho Chi Minh City Law, air ticket agents said that many flight routes have very high ticket prices, even higher than Tet holidays. Specifically, the route Ho Chi Minh City – Thanh Hoa costs 3-3.5 million VND/ticket; HCMC – Nghe An 3.4-3.6 million VND/ticket. For the Hanoi – Phu Quoc route, although airlines operate many flights per day, the ticket price on this route is still high, ranging from 3.8-4 million VND/ticket.

More flights to serve guests during the holidays

According to Vietnam Airlines Group, the number of passengers increased sharply, especially on the Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang route, so the company added 46 flights for this route. The route Hanoi – Da Nang added 40 flights, Hanoi – Nha Trang added 38 flights, Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang added 26 flights, Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc added 22 flights. Other routes add 14-18 flights.

Bamboo Airways is also expected to increase the domestic transport supply by 15%, in which it focuses on routes from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang and routes from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc, Nha Trang and Quy Nhon.
