Receiving information that Hanoi is also about to deploy public bicycles in 5 central districts, many people are very excited.

Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Hang (Ha Dong, Hanoi) shared: “I still have to take my personal car to work even though the office is 2km from the Cat Linh – Ha Dong metro line. If Hanoi has a bicycle service like Ho Chi Minh City, I will give up my personal car to take the train and rent a bicycle on a monthly basis.”

For convenience and to attract people, stations and parking lots will be arranged near crowded areas such as hospitals, schools, amusement parks, apartment buildings… We are also proposing the city support a number of locations to set up charging stations,” said Mr. Dan.

In terms of time, Tri Nam has basically completed the preparation work, can put this model into operation within 2-3 months after being allowed by Hanoi.

According to a representative of the Hanoi Department of Transport, the “Urban Bicycle” project aims to diversify types of environmentally friendly passenger transport, connecting between bus stations and urban railway stations. , urban areas, residential areas, commercial centers, inter-agency areas and travel services, promoting tourism development, visiting scenic spots in the city.

The proposal to open this type of vehicle is with the desire that people will be more convenient when participating in the form of public passenger transport in the city, gradually abandoning personal cars.
