Vietnam is ready to contribute to UN humanitarian relief activities for Ukraine

Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the UN, spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent stance on settling international disputes by peaceful means on the basis of respect. international law, the UN Charter, especially the principle of respecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, non-interference in internal affairs, and non-use of force in international relations. .

Sharing the international community’s deep concern about the humanitarian situation caused by the hostilities in Ukraine, the Ambassador emphasized that the current urgent priority should focus on stopping hostilities, protecting civilians and protecting civilians. essential civilian infrastructure, conducting humanitarian operations, and evacuating citizens.

The Ambassador also affirmed Vietnam’s support for the humanitarian efforts of the Secretary-General, UN agencies, countries in the region and international partners and is willing to contribute to humanitarian relief activities. of the United Nations for Ukraine under conditions and capabilities permitting.

The Ambassador emphasized that dialogues and negotiations between relevant parties should be carried out to find a peaceful solution on the basis of international law and the UN Charter, taking into account the interests and concerns of relevant parties.
