New fares apply for cars entering and leaving airports from April 1 to 4

Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has just made a decision on the price collection for cars entering and leaving the airport throughout the port system managed and operated by this unit, starting from today 1-4.

Specifically, for airports that operate with high frequency and have a vehicle control system in and out of parking lots and car parks, including Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, and Da Nang, the applied price is relatively low, only 10,000. VND/passenger/vehicle for the first 10 minutes for cars with up to 9 seats, trucks under 1.5 tons (a decrease of VND 5,000 compared to before); 15,000 VND/passenger/vehicle for vehicles from 10-29 seats, trucks up to 7 tons and the highest is 25,000 VND/time/vehicle for the first 10 minutes for cars with 30 seats or more, trucks more than 7 tons.

Cars entering and leaving for more than 10 minutes will apply the current applicable rates for using the car park service, which have been registered with the People’s Committees of the province or city.

For the remaining 18 airports, the lowest price applicable to cars with up to 9 seats and trucks under 1.5 tons is 5,000 VND/passenger/vehicle for the first 10 minutes; 5,000 VND/passenger/vehicle for the next 50 minutes and an additional 5,000 VND/way/car for each of the next 2 hours.

The highest level is 25,000 VND/passenger/vehicle for cars with 30 seats or more, trucks larger than 7 tons in the first 10 minutes; 10,000 VND/passenger/vehicle for the next 50 minutes and an additional 10,000 VND/way/car for each of the next 2 hours.

In addition, ACV also proposed a preferential price plan for cars using the service of stopping and parking to pick up and drop off passengers at regular airports; the list of priority vehicles that do not collect fees for the stop and park service to pick up and drop off passengers at airports.

According to the leader of ACV, the unit builds the service price plan on the basis of the methods prescribed in the Circular No. 25/2014/TT-BTC dated February 17, 2014 of the Ministry of Finance and ensures the following principles: offset the costs of exploitation, maintenance, repair, accumulation and reinvestment; ensuring security and order, channeling and routing at airports.

On the other hand, ACV refers to the fees charged by Van Don International Airport and car parking services in the respective provinces and cities, and takes into account the specific factors at airports and airports.

According to ACV leaders, the revenue from the exploitation of roads and car parks at ports, although enough to cover the regular operating costs, is still insufficient to reinvest, upgrade and expand infrastructure of roads and yards. parked at airports in the period of 2021-2025.

It is known that the need for investment capital for the access to the terminals of the airports and the car parks at 18 airports (excluding Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, and Da Nang, which have collected private parking fees). is 5,575 billion VND.
