This morning (June 10), 92,778 9th grade students of the whole city went to the test sites to practice the exam regulations and check personal information, correct incorrect information (if any). They will officially take the exam in 2 days from 11 to 12/6 at 150 test points, including 139 normal test points and 11 specialized test points with 3,953 exam rooms (24 candidates/room). Each test site arranges 3 backup exam rooms for F0 candidates, candidates with suspected cases, ensuring the requirements for COVID-19 prevention and control according to regulations of the health industry.
The whole of Ho Chi Minh City this year has 108,291 students graduated from lower secondary school. Out of 92,778 candidates registered for the 10th grade exam, there are 6,229 candidates for the specialized exam, 1,305 for the integrated exam, and the rest is for the regular 10th grade exam. There are more than 14,000 students who did not take the 10th grade exam. The quota for entering 10th grade in 114 public high schools in 2022 – 2023 is 72,800.
Currently, the city’s education and training sector has completed the preparations, ready to organize the entrance exam for class 10 in 2022, ensuring it is safe and serious, and at the same time well implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention.
What candidates are brought into the examination room?
A new point in this year’s 10th grade entrance exam is the requirement that candidates keep their personal items 25 meters away from the exam room. Therefore, at the test sites in Ho Chi Minh City, there are areas for candidates to put personal items, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Student supplies allowed to bring into the exam room includes: pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, rulers, pocket calculators without text editing function, without memory cards. Ensuring safety at the test sites
Although the COVID-19 epidemic is no longer as complicated as in 2021, test points in Ho Chi Minh City still tighten epidemic prevention measures.
Accordingly, to ensure safety for epidemic prevention and control, the test sites will disinfect one day before the exam date and after the exam; environmental sanitation of corridors, school grounds, toilets… after each exam session. The Department of Education and Training organizes cleaning and disinfecting immediately after each exam session for candidates with suspected cases, F0. Exam points will arrange disinfectant solutions at convenient locations, with enough clean water and soap in the toilet area, arrange trash cans with lids…
This year, under the direction of the Department, the test sites do not hold the opening of the exam. Candidates go straight to the exam room and leave immediately after the exam. In the exam room, each candidate should sit at a table or ensure distance, the exam rooms are well ventilated and do not use air conditioning. Officials, teachers, staff, candidates must wear masks during the time at the test site, wash hands and disinfect at the gate of the test site, exam room, and board room.
In addition, the test sites must also organize a stream, arrange an area for parents to conveniently pick up and drop off candidates, but still strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, and do not gather crowds around the test site. Parents wear masks when picking up candidates for the exam, leaving immediately after dropping off and picking up candidates, avoiding large gatherings before the test site.
