“My son returned to Vietnam since Vom market closed, at that time he was only in grade 1. What should Vietnamese students studying abroad want to do at home?

According to Circular 50/2021/TT-BGDĐT issued by the Minister of Education and Training on amending a number of regulations on school transfer and admission of students in junior high and high schools, Vietnamese students from abroad return home to apply for study. may be extended by 03 years compared to the prescribed age of each school level.

The age of each grade level is specified as follows:

– Lower secondary education is carried out in 04 school years, from sixth grade to the end of ninth grade. Students entering sixth grade must complete elementary school. The age of students entering sixth grade is 11 years old and is calculated in years.

– High school education is conducted in 3 school years, from the tenth to the twelfth grade. Students entering the tenth grade must have a junior high school diploma. The age of students entering the tenth grade is 15 years old and is calculated in years.

In addition, Circular 50/2021/BGDĐT also stipulates the qualifications for secondary school students as follows:

– Students entering junior high school must have transcripts or certificates of previous classes, along with the school’s confirmation of being transferred to the upper class.

– Regarding the application for admission of homecoming and foreign students:

Students can provide transcripts or school certification of previous classes’ performance (certified Vietnamese translation).
