“The suspension of normal commercial relations is an essential part of our efforts to restore peace, save lives and protect democracy,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, said: “So far, both parties, Democrats and Republicans, have remained united in sending Mr. Putin a clear message: His senseless violence against the Ukrainian people will pay a heavy price.” .
