Miss Transgender Do Nhat Ha: Still competing even though she knew she would be eliminated

– Coming to the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 contest, what preparations have you made in terms of paperwork?

Despite my best efforts, my legal journey to change has not been able to materialize. But I think with what I prepare and show at this competition, it will overcome all those barriers.

I think the criteria of Miss Universe Vietnam is not just choosing a girl with legal papers as a woman. That girl’s story, her inspiration, all the positive things she does for the community are the goals that any beauty pageant is about. And I think the jury of Miss Universe Vietnam will also have the same criteria.

– What have you prepared for the big beauty contest?

This year with the theme “Vinawoman – Vietnamese bravery”, I had my own story, a journey, a mission when I came here.

I affirm that I come here not to play, or just to find myself an opportunity, but it is also a door for me to realize my mission for the community.

– Having difficulty in legal matters, so are you ready to face the outcome you can foresee today?

If I wasn’t mentally prepared, I wouldn’t have stood here, I might have faltered when the organizers announced the criteria and rules of the contest a few months ago.

Today I still choose to believe in myself, believe in what I have tried, prepare for this journey. I am confident in what brings to the competition and hope to get the best results.

– Looking at this year’s contestants, how do you feel about them?

The contestants this year are very beautiful, people often joke that this is an All Stars season, a lot of “monsters of a thousand blood”.

But each will have their own strengths, as well as the things that they show to everyone and especially the judges. I believe one thing that “pressure creates a diamond”. And today I am not afraid of anything.

– Last season, there were transgender contestants who registered but had to leave, what do you think is different?

I have thought very carefully when making the decision to come to Miss Universe Vietnam 2022. Everyone has known that I have titles and activities. showbiz and get a certain position for yourself already.

But today I still come here, which means I have to have a different preparation than other transgender girls coming to Miss Universe Vietnam.

I believe my inspirational story, my goals and what I strive for will be one of the best pictures ever of all the girls when they come here, especially the transgender representatives. gender.

– What do you think is your limitation when coming to Miss Universe Vietnam 2022?

Everyone has flaws, but I myself am always confident in what I try. The only problem at the moment is legal.

I have not yet realized it and met the rules. But I believe what I have done and prepared to come to this program will overcome all.

– Many contestants said that they came here to conquer the highest position, what about you?

Of course I’m like them, but that crown is not just for me, it’s for all girls like me, transgender girls with power.

I always have problems with my community, with limitations and barriers that prevent the community up to now to be able to show their full potential.

Coming to Miss Universe Vietnam has never been easy for me, but I still choose to believe in myself and be decisive with the decisions I make.

– So are you confident in your appearance in the “forest of flowers”?

When I stand here, of course I have confidence in that.
