Regarding the case that Ms. PTDH (22 years old, hometown of Long An) died after having a rhinoplasty at a cosmetic facility in the villa area in lane 147A Tan Mai, Hoang Mai district, the authorities have identified. 1 doctor and 5 related people including Nguyen Sy Giang (27 years old, from Nghe An) and Le Ngoc Anh (32 years old, anesthesiologist), Hoang Minh Phong (28 years old, owner of a cosmetic facility, in Ba Dinh) , Hanoi) and three others.
Ms. H. was brought to the hospital in a coma.
Initially, the police agency determined, through social relations, Giang knew Hoang Minh Phong, then followed Phong to learn plastic surgery. However, even though he knew that Phong did not have a license to practice, Giang still agreed to work with him.
In the process of working with Phong, Giang is in charge of posting ads on social networks about the beauty establishment offering plastic surgery services to find customers. When there is a customer doing plastic surgery, Phong will arrange the operating room so that Giang can directly conduct the surgery for the customer.
In particular, although he does not have a practicing certificate, on his personal Facebook page, Giang claims to be a “doctor” to build a reputation to win the hearts of customers. Giang also screenshots a lot of good feedback, successful transactions with customers on social networks to “create cover”.

Regarding the case of victim H., in May 2021, Ms. PTDH contacted Giang, depositing 35 million VND to do rhinoplasty. On the afternoon of January 14, Ms. H. was taken by Giang to the 6th floor of the “underground” cosmetic facility to perform surgery.
During the surgery, Le Ngoc Anh – 32 years old, doctor of Hanoi Oncology Hospital – was the one who anesthetized Ms. H. with Midazolam 5mg/ml. And Giang and 2 others participated in the surgery for a woman from Long An. In which, Giang is the one who injects anesthetic to the victim.
During the operation, Ms. H. had abnormal health and was in a coma, so these people informed Phong to take the patient to Bach Mai Hospital for emergency.
Giang often posts pictures of herself holding “knife and scissors” or being in the surgery room for customers…
On the evening of January 16, relatives of Ms. H. reported the incident to the local police.
Notably, when examining the scene, the police determined that the 6th floor was disturbed, the objects and surgical instruments were hidden by this group.
Verifying at Bach Mai Hospital, the police learned that patient Hieu was diagnosed in a coma of unknown cause after rhinoplasty surgery. At the time of admission, the patient had stitches on the nasal septum.
When conducting an examination of the scene at address 18C, group 20, Tuong Mai, the police determined that the scene on the 6th floor was disturbed; objects and surgical instruments that have been hidden by the subject.
