Video of Russian warship firing Kalibr cruise missiles to destroy Ukraine’s arsenal

According to RT, the Russian Defense Ministry on March 26 revealed that the Russian military used Kalibr cruise missiles to target an arsenal of weapons and equipment in the Zhytomyr region, northwest Ukraine.

According to Russian officials, the high-precision strike was carried out in the early morning of March 26 by a small missile ship in the Black Sea, aimed at wiping out a Ukrainian military facility.

The ministry also shared a clip of the ship firing four missiles in a row in the middle of the dark sky. (Watch the video below)

The Kalibr cruise missile, widely used by Russia in its military campaign in Ukraine, currently has several variants. They can be fired from surface ships, submarines and aircraft, and are used to strike a variety of land and water targets.

Some versions are also capable of flying supersonic sprints in the final stages of their journey, making air defense systems increasingly difficult to deal with.

Moscow launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. According to ABC, Russian President Vladimir Putin has made six main demands to end the military conflict in Ukraine, including: Ukraine does not join NATO and maintains a neutral stance; Russian is the second official language of Ukraine, with a law prohibiting its abolition; Ukraine recognizes Crimea as Russian territory; Ukraine recognizes the independence of Donetsk and Lugansk; The demilitarization of Ukraine and the abandonment of weapons that could pose a threat to Russia; Prohibition of radical nationalist organizations and parties in Ukraine (also known as “de-fascistization”).
