Parent company G Kitchen buys French chicken company

GreenFeed – the Vietnamese food chain developer that owns G Kitchen – has just acquired French chicken supplier LeBoucher.

The value of the deal was not disclosed by the two parties. LeBoucher brand has been present in Vietnam since 2004, a member of Alain Glon Holding Asia (France). They are the chicken supplier for McDonald’s, the high-end retail chain Annam Gourmet…

After the merger, LeBoucher will become the fifth brand in the list of food brands of GreenFeed Vietnam. The 19-year-old company is best known as the owner of the cool pork and processed products chain G Kitchen.

In addition, they also have MaMaChoice fresh pork, Wyn convenience products and G LALA broken rice brand. Mr. Quang Thanh Cuong, General Director of the company’s food industry, said that the merger strategy of LeBoucher helps them complete their goal of providing a comprehensive source of animal protein to the market.

Alain Glon Holding Asia is a private French corporation with a history of more than 70 years. Their main businesses include food production, biodegradable packaging, and commerce. The group currently has more than 500 employees with revenue of more than 110 million USD. They have been operating in the Vietnamese market for more than 25 years through different business areas such as animal feed, piglets and poultry processing.

According to Statista’s report, in 2021, per capita poultry consumption in Vietnam will reach about 16.87 kg. By 2029, per capita poultry consumption is forecast to reach around 20 kg per person per year.
