Vinatex Phu Cuong yarn will be produced again tomorrow after the fire

On the morning of April 26, a representative of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) said that the fire occurred at the raw material warehouse of the Vinatex Phu Cuong Yarn Factory on the evening of April 25, causing no human damage. Fire prevention and fighting forces prevented the spread from the warehouse to the production area.

The factory is expected to return to normal production from the morning shift on April 27. Thus, the factory only stopped production 3 shifts after the fire, so the fulfillment of orders and supply of products to the market were almost unaffected.

“Because the warehouse is separate from the production area, the entire factory, equipment and technology are not affected. The burned raw materials have been insured by this factory”, a representative of Vinatex informed.

To ensure continuous production right after the incident, Vinatex coordinated with other units to support raw materials for Vinatex Phu Cuong Yarn Factory.

Before that, at about 20:00 on April 25, Vinatex branch – Vinatex Phu Cuong Yarn Factory (Phu Cuong industrial cluster, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province) had a fire. The raw materials in the warehouse are mainly cotton, fabric, yarn… which are easy to catch fire, so it only took about 30 minutes for the fire to cover the entire company. By late at night, the fire was basically under control.

Currently, authorities and factories are determining the cause of the fire as well as the damage caused by this fire.
