Around 22:00 on April 2, after identifying the subjects who were organizing illegal drug use at Phuong Phi Thuong karaoke bar, Hoang Mai town police mobilized 52 officers and soldiers to divide them into two. At the scene, the police force discovered 16 subjects “flying” in room 2 (1st floor); seized 1.62 grams of ketamine-type drugs and 1 drug paraphernalia. Through rapid test, all 16 subjects were positive for narcotics.

Initially, Hoang Mai town police temporarily detained 5 subjects for organizing illegal drug use, including: Vu Van Khanh (SN 1994) and Le Huu Huy (SN 1977), living in the same ward. Quynh Xuan, Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province; Le Cong Quy (born 1992, residing at house number 158, Huynh Dang Tho street, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province) Vu Van Son (born 1990, residing in Nam Son ward, Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh province) and Nguyen The Nam (born 1993, residing in Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province).
