The People’s Committee of Hue City held a meeting to listen to the idea of ​​the relocation plan of the old French villa with the participation of representatives of the Department of Construction, the Provincial Association of Urban Planning and Development, the Provincial Association of Architects, the Central Government, and the People’s Committee of Hue City. Land Fund Development Center – TT-Hue Department of Natural Resources and Environment, architects, professionals and related units.

At the meeting, architect Ho Viet Vinh gave two options if the work meets all the conditions for relocation.

The first option is to relocate the work to the area opposite the house 26 across Le Loi street at address 1 Pham Hong Thai, Hue city; keep the main face of the building overlooking the Perfume River.

Option two is to move the work through the land area No. 1 Pham Hong Thai and turn towards the main face of the work overlooking Le Loi Street (opposite the old location).

What surprised everyone, during the discussion at the meeting, the functional units also proposed to study more option 3. That is to restore the work in the form of archetypal architecture of the ancient villa at 26 Le Loi. on the campus of land No. 1 Pham Hong Thai.

With this option, in the process of dismantling the old French villa, the construction unit will reuse some materials of the old construction to rebuild the new villa.

Based on the comments of the members attending the meeting, the People’s Committee of Hue City proposed architect Ho Viet Vinh to complete it to continue discussing and agreeing on the implementation plan to submit to the competent authorities for consideration.

The People’s Committee of Hue City also requested the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to provide all documents related to the management of the old French villa project at 26 Le Loi. In it, note the copy of the text of the notice of the relevant agencies of the French Republic recommending the expiry date of this villa.

In addition, the People’s Committee of Hue City will also request the People’s Committee of TT-Hue Province to direct the Department of Construction to inspect and evaluate the quality of the current state of the work to serve as a basis for considering the relocation plan.

From the idea of ​​TT-Hue province, recently “genius” Nguyen Van Cu had a field survey, checking the entire construction of the ancient villa 26 Le Loi – Hue.

Through the survey and assessment, Mr. Cu confirmed that he would be able to move the 100-year-old French villa in Hue to a new location near the Perfume River.

It is known that the villa at 26 Le Loi is not on the list of 27 French villas in Hue city subject to conservation and embellishment… However, the leaders of TT-Hue province had the idea to keep the house. This villa, with the desire to preserve the image of Hue city in the process of development.
