On April 11, the Criminal Police Department (PC02), Ho Chi Minh City Police are taking statements from Nguyen Quoc Thai (28 years old), Le Hong Khanh (42 years old), Tran Minh Trung (37 years old), Bui Thi Thao (26 years old, wife of Khanh), Le Thi Du (72 years old) and Le Thi Hong (35 years old) to clarify the case of tying the owner, threatening property robbery happened at a house on Tran Binh Trong street, district 5.
According to the initial investigation, Ms. Le Thi Du has been working as a maid for the landlord on Tran Binh Trong Street, District 5 for about 30 years; Le Thi Hong has also worked here for about 10 years.
Due to living together for many years, Ms. Du and Hong know that the owner has a lot of money and often leaves a large amount of cash at home. During her vacations back home to visit her family, Mrs. Du often told the story of the owner to her relative, Thao.
Hong opened the door for his accomplices to enter the house.
After Thao moved to Ho Chi Minh City to live, Ms. Du, Hong and Thao often kept in touch and met each other. Recently, due to falling into debt, the three of them discussed a plan and invited relatives to rob the landlord’s property to get money to spend.
Thao, Khanh and their accomplices rented a room in An Lac ward, Binh Tan district to hide. Two maids act as insiders to find out where the landlord’s money is kept and notify accomplices when the owner is away.
On the evening of April 9, when the host family went to dinner, only 14-year-old S. was left at home with two female servants, Ms. Du texted her accomplices to come over to carry out the plan.
After that, a group of 4 subjects on 2 motorbikes came to the front of the house, Thai pretended to be a delivery person to ring the bell, when Hong opened the door, he immediately burst in, Khanh also broke into the house, controlling two female servants. and brother S., used a weapon to threaten to rob property. And Thao and Trung stood outside the guard gate.
Within 20 minutes, the group of subjects had staged a play of controlling, threatening and robbing more than 2 billion VND, then got in a car to escape from the scene.

During the investigation, the police discovered that Ms. Du had conflicting statements and suspicious expressions, so she focused on fighting. Specifically, this maid declared a robbers forced her into the kitchen to rob 10 million dong, then claimed 7 million.
During the struggle, the police determined that the female maid had participated in the robbery, so they quickly identified the remaining suspects.
In about 2 hours since the investigation, the PC02 and District 5 police detectives broke into the motel room, arrested the subjects in Binh Tan district, recovered all the property that had just been robbed.
