This CEO said he will continue to pursue the dream of building a “Made in Vietnam” smartphone, dominating the domestic market. Thank you Vsmart!

With the vision that Vietnam will be the 5th Asian Dragon in the not too distant future, more than 11 years ago, my partner at Bkav, initiated the Vietnamese-owned SMARTPHONE INDUSTRY, later called Make. in Vietnam.

The participation of Vin Group with the Vsmart brand 3 years ago, to be honest, I was a bit confused. But more excited than worried, because we are no longer alone in this mission.

Although Vsmart’s withdrawal from the market was predictable, it was regrettable that this happened yesterday.

Smartphone is the quintessential TECHNOLOGY. Mastering core technologies when researching, designing and manufacturing Smartphones is that we have mastered most of the world’s newest, most difficult technology fields. For decades to come, mankind’s LATEST TECHNOLOGY will STILL revolve around SMARTPHONE.

The appearance of Vsmart even in a short time, with abundant financial potential, has already taken more than 10% of the smartphone market share from the hands of foreign brands, rising to the 3rd position in the market.

This affirms that we Vietnamese people are always DIVING and SUPPORTING Make in Vietnam products, especially Smartphones. Helping us confidently affirm that Bphone is in the Top 2 market share in 2023 is completely feasible. And I have to thank Vsmart for this.

However, our implementation is different from Vsmart. We STRONGLY rely on building a foundation of PROFIT TECHNOLOGY, even though this R&D investment is time consuming as well as expensive. We are also steadfast in building and positioning the brand from NEAR PREMIUM, from there to spread to the high-end and low-cost segments.

Believe me, Vietnam will have its own smartphone brand, dominating the domestic market. Successfully building the Smnartphone industry, serving as a launching pad for us to have a foothold in the World market.

For a POWERFUL Vietnam, the Asian Dragon in the not too distant future.

Under the comment section, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang did not forget to say: “There will be a good version of Bphone coming soon, friends”.

The fact that Vsmart stops producing phones and televisions makes BKAV’s Bphone the only Vietnamese phone brand in the market today. The main reason shared by VinGroup is to focus all of its efforts on VinFast.

VinSmart’s current resources will be redirected to develop smart features on vehicles and houses, including the information – entertainment – service system (Infotainment) on VinFast cars. This event ends Vingroup’s 2.5-year journey of conquering the smartphone field.
