67% of preschool students in Hanoi go to school on the first day

On the morning of April 13, all preschool children of 30 districts, districts and towns in Hanoi city went to schools directly after a long pause to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic. This is the last level of education in Hanoi’s education system to return to school under the new normal.

Although returning to school when the school year is not long, but for preschool age, the morning of April 13 is really like the opening day of a new school year. With the specificity of the school level, many schools have adjusted their teaching plans, selected methods and forms of organization for children to work, while ensuring distance, limiting close contact between children, and not put pressure on children and teachers when children are new go to school.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, over 360,000 preschool students attended school on April 13, reaching a rate of nearly 67%. The number of children in private class groups going to school also reached the same rate. It is forecasted that the number of preschool children going to school will gradually increase in the coming days, when parents have brought their children up from the countryside and are more prepared to send their children back to school.

The initial survey shows that the number of preschool teachers is currently lacking, especially in private preschools and class groups. However, the Department of Education and Training does not have complete statistics.

Previously, on April 12, leaders of Hanoi had a meeting with all districts to hear reports on the difficulties that preschools are facing due to the COVID-19 epidemic. A representative of the capital’s education sector said that it is calculating a plan to remove difficulties for the preschool block in the near future.
