“I lived frugal for 10 years, looked for opportunities and was on the right track”

– The film was scheduled to be released on February 14, 2019 but it was too difficult and had to be rebuilt, so the wait lasted for 4 years. However, after the film, what remains in my mind is that when I was young, I had a good film from the cooperation of young people coming together to work together. They are nail technicians, young students doing all kinds of jobs in the US have come to join the masses to meet Vietnamese people, talk about their homeland…

Thereby, I feel proud of the national spirit, everyone is enthusiastic about the film. I also identify How do you go through the pool?, it is the spirit of young people who love cinema to convey to everyone a light and humorous story, not a movie with a “huge” revenue expectation. Really, the first 2 years of waiting, I was sad but then I didn’t wait anymore. Everything is natural and I participate in other film projects.

What is Thuan Nguyen’s choice when participating in this film?

– I accepted the role because at that time… no one invited me to act in a movie, the director returned to Vietnam to cast and chose me right away. Filmmaking is very challenging. I flew to the US alone, all the crew was in the US, only Vietnamese actors came. Everyone is young, making a movie for the first time, so the production is constantly changing. However, at that time, I determined that Tuan’s role was the role for me to find opportunities to act in movies. Making art must show people that you work in order to hope to be known.

How does Thuan Nguyen prepare mentally if the movie debut have an opinion for that, you The acting is down compared to Sweet Trap just premiered?

10 years in the profession, which character does Thuan Nguyen sympathize with in the past acting journey?

– Each stage I have empathy for the character I play. However, perhaps I sympathize with the character Tuan in the film How do you go through the pool?. In Tuan, I see extravagance, parents give opinions, but the character always thinks it is an imposition, so he decides to break through and win to follow the path he thinks is right. Through the film, I realized that in real life, when facing a problem, adults have the right and young people also have the right.

Having a difficult childhood, but Thuan Nguyen has always been a support for his family, so are movies and his life similar and complementary?

– Referring to this I am reminded of the past. I’ve loved acting since I was a kid South area, I often rehearse the actions of the two main characters in front of the mirror. But the difficult life of my family in the past was living on a boat here and there, so it was not cultivated from a young age. It was not until the 12th grade that I took the entrance exam to the Theater School and devoted myself to studying.

– My parents always support me in my career, my father always shows me that he is an actor with friends in the neighborhood… I am aware that I am the face of my family and that is the reason that I determine no matter how many difficulties my profession is in. All accept and try to go through, not to get entangled in scandals. I try to keep the best actor image possible.

However, maybe that’s why my career is slow. I remember 6 years ago, I didn’t have many opportunities, just acted on the Young World stage, my parents told me to do a side job to make money… and so on I lived frugally and tried to find opportunities. society, and after 10 years I find myself on the right track.
