Why can’t Vietnamese showbiz have male gods like Lee Min Ho and Hyun Bin?

The marriage ceremony of Korean actor Hyun Bin and actress Son Ye Jin at the end of March became a fever all over Asia, including Vietnam. Many women posted on social networks pictures of the actor in “Crash Landing on You” with words of honor and regret. The admiration of the crowd made many people question: Why can’t Vietnam have such a male god, even though Vietnamese actors have no shortage of handsome people, and Vietnamese dramas are also getting better and better?

Appear properly anytime, anywhere

It is difficult to come across an ugly photo of Hyun Bin or Lee Min Ho on social networks. Whether at the airport, on the street or at the filming location, they always appear with well-dressed, perfect appearance, with thorough care.

The behavioral skills of Korean stars are also well trained. They can dodge fans at the airport skillfully, but always show courtesy and politeness at talk shows or big events where there are always many cameras. Scoring images such as Hyun Bin taking care of his wife, Lee Min Ho hugging a young fan make any woman “melt” and wish for a handsome man with a warm heart.

Standard statements on social networks

Another reason that cannot be ignored is the strictness of artists’ statements on the internet. While Korean actors rarely use social networks and carefully consider their words, Vietnamese artists are different. The public has witnessed many times that actor V. A teases his co-star in a rather crude way, or actor Q. often posts sexy photos to his fans. Their constant, somewhat overloaded appearance on social networks makes fans feel close, momentary, but no longer considers them as symbols, “dreamers”.

The Korean actor also often chooses to love discreetly, break up civilized, instead of fighting. The way Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo ended their marriage is a prime example. On the contrary, many Vietnamese artists have disappointed fans, tired of endless arguments with their ex, or too “realistic” statements about love.

Share with PV Vietnamese people, Doctor of Psychology Khuat Thu Hong once affirmed: “The behavior of an artist on social networks has a significant impact on the psychology and habits of the public, especially young people”. The seriousness of Korean stars not only makes fans love them, but also makes even modern parents – who play an important role in “pocketing” also agree and support.

Launchpads from professional entertainment companies

The professionalism of the Korean entertainment industry makes it easy for them to build monuments of flesh and blood, suitable for the “taste” of many generations and ages. The promotion campaign for a new Korean film is often carefully invested with a large budget. The main actors are “promoted” on all fronts, in many different ways.

It is also impossible not to mention the famous reality TV shows in Korea, with good and attractive scripts. Through these gameshows/talkshows, fans have the opportunity to understand more about their favorite artists, their advantages, disadvantages, and never-before-seen stories. (Of course, these details have also been carefully discussed.) This makes fans trust, love and support their artists in the next productions.
