All tricks, but no miracles!

1. Turn a whole cup of coffee into a cup… full of money

This is the magic show of David Blane, and has become a phenomenon in the world. The magician poured coffee into a cup, and in an instant all the water was gone, replaced by coins.

Its secret is actually very simple: inside that cup is actually another one, cut in half and filled with coins. The outside cup is punched with a small hole, stuffed with more sponge. When pouring coffee inside, the sponge will absorb all the water, and at the same time use your finger to poke through the hole to push the cup inside. Add a little bit of acting and we have the perfect magic show.

2. Magic Sword

This is James More’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent, and it turns out it has a very simple interpretation. Basically, our magician has a secret system hidden under the mantle. When he “falls” on the sword (also a special type of course), the tip of the sword will match this system, allowing him to lie comfortably on it.

And yet, under the breastplate there is also a secret system, designed to push a fake blade out when needed. In summary, the performance can deceive viewers, thinking that the magician was stabbed by a sword but still can be unharmed.

3. Summon a card in midair

This magic trick requires quick hands. Its trick is in a specialized card holder mounted on the back of the hand. Then, with decisive and “magical” movements, they will create the feeling of pulling a card from the air. Some people can do this without any equipment. However, that requires them to practice a lot to the point of mastering in order not to be exposed.

4. Use your teeth to block bullets

Is there anyone in the world capable of using their teeth to stop the bullet that is aimed at them? Yes, but it’s magic. This magic show requires quite careful preparation. First, the magician will have the audience sign the bullet (the real thing), but quickly replace it with a fake bullet made from wax, giving the real bullet to the assistant to hide in the mouth. When fired, the wax bullet quickly melts, the crumbs will create many holes in the glass. And the assistant will now pull out the bullet, creating the feeling that it has just blocked the bullet.

5. Swallowing Balloons

How to swallow a long strip of balloons into the throat? The trick lies in pre-punching a hole in the ball, then quickly defrosting it while making a motion like swallowing. In general, this game also needs practice, must deflate the ball in a sufficient amount of time to have a good effect.

6. Cut the rope in half and reconnect it

This is also a trick that requires preparation. In the case of an ordinary piece of string, magicians can actually cut the rope, but not in the position as you think. They will skillfully fold the rope, so that only a very short cut is required, then stretch it and give the impression that the rope is connected.

Some other versions of this game are also applied with… wire headphones. Of course, with a piece of technology, it is impossible to really cut. Instead, they hid a shorter piece of string, cut that piece of string, acted a little and the audience wanted… to hide their heads.

7. Super power that makes everything float

To do this, you need to prepare a super thin, super “translucent” elastic band, with a pencil hidden in the sleeve. Depending on the object to be performed, the technique will be slightly different. However, the key is to fix the object so that no one can see it, and act in a “virtual” way.
