Arrest teacher for abusing 5th graders in Thai Binh

This afternoon (May 2), the police of Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province prosecuted the case, prosecuted the accused, and ordered the detention of Doan Van Tam (SN 1978, residing in Dong Long commune, Tien Hai district) to investigating the crime of “Rape of a person under 16 years old” under Article 142 of the Penal Code.

Before being detained, Tam was a teacher at Dong Long Primary and Secondary School, Dong Long Commune, Tien Hai District, Thai Binh Province.

These decisions and orders have been approved by the People’s Procuracy of the same level.

Regarding the incident, on April 26, Ms. D.TX (36 years old, residing in Dong Long commune, Tien Hai district) filed a complaint against teacher Doan Van Tam (the homeroom teacher of grade 5, primary and secondary schools) Dong Long Commune Secondary School) has abused her daughter, NDA, 11 years old, to the police station.

According to Ms. X., after she denounced, on April 26, her daughter A. was brought for assessment by relevant units.

Mr. Tam’s family went down to the house to apologize, expect forgiveness and remedy the consequences, but her family did not agree.

Ms. X. said that child A. was abused in mid-April 2022.

After that, child A. showed signs of anxiety and panic. When I got home, I was very scared and did not tell the story.

On April 25, getting information through her relatives, Ms. X. made a denunciation to the authorities.

The school gave Mr. Doan Van Tam a break from his teaching job to work with the authorities, after a denunciation was filed.
