According to the reporter of Dan Tri newspaper, at about 10 am on May 6, the driver of the car went to the police station to report.
The Labor Newspaper quoted information from Mr. An Thu Duc City (HCMC) that the person driving the 7-seater car was Mr. Huynh Cong Thang (living in Thu Duc City).
Mr. Thang confessed after causing an accident due to panic, so it was not until this afternoon that he presented himself to the police. After that, the police conducted drug and alcohol tests and took statements from Mr. Thang to serve the investigation.
Before that, at 19:30 on May 5, the male driver drove a car with the license plate of Ho Chi Minh City on Kha Van Can street, towards Pham Van Dong to Thu Duc market.
When the driver let the vehicle pass through the Thu Duc market area, turned right from Duong Van Cam to Kha Van Can street, the vehicle hit 2 motorbikes and then jumped onto the sidewalk and rammed into a house.
The driver reversed the car, then hit about 8 motorbikes in succession on the road. After causing the accident, the male driver left the scene.

As recorded by the PLO newspaper, the victims include: Hua Thi Le A (23 years old) with a broken right femur, a broken right forearm, Truong Van H. (36 years old) a broken jaw, a broken right femur, Tran Quoc T. (42 years old) fractured right radial bone and Hoang Minh Tr. (26 years old) left leg and facial soft tissue injury.
