In which, about 25,000 units owe 1-3 months with more than 1,500 billion dong; over 12,800 businesses owe from 3 to under 12 months with a total amount of nearly 665 billion dong; nearly 6,400 debt units over 12 months with more than 1,700 billion dong. The total amount owed by businesses accounts for nearly 7% of the City Social Security’s 2022 collection plan.
Ho Chi Minh City is the largest social insurance revenue and spending locality in the country. Currently, City Insurance manages more than 110,000 businesses and units with more than 2.3 million people participating in compulsory social insurance; more than 51,000 people participate in voluntary social insurance and nearly 8.2 million people participate in health insurance.
