Before that, around 2pm on May 9, 6 young people were drinking at Ba Dung pub (Ly Thai To street), suddenly, a young man carrying a machete rushed into the shop and cut off one of this group’s fingers. hand.
When he finished cutting, this young man ran away, the remaining 5 people in the group chased.
Running to the Truong Le cultural house, the group of young people carrying a ready-made uniform, used a homemade gun about 1m long to shoot 2 bullets at the pursuers, causing Mr. Pham Nguyen Van Hiep to suffer multiple facial injuries, neck, bones. Mr. Hiep was then taken to the Pacific General Hospital in Hoi An City for emergency treatment.
Receiving information, Hoi An City Police went to the scene and seized a homemade sword. Through initial investigation, the police identified the perpetrator as Tran Xuan Vu (household registration in Khue Ngoc Dien commune, Krong Bong district, Dak Lak province, temporary residence in Cam Chau ward).
After committing the crime, Vu drove a blue Exciter, BKS 92D1-653.70 carrying Ly Hau Hieu (SN: 2001, residing in Cam Pho ward, Hoi An city) to escape.
On the afternoon of May 11, subject Ly Hau Hieu surrendered.
