Toyota GR86 launches limited edition Special Edition

Toyota GR86 2-door sports car special edition has just been released.

The Special Edition of Toyota The GR86 2023 is limited to only 860 units shipped and will come with a number of unique and special equipment to bring “pure sports driving pleasure”. The second generation Toyota GR86 possesses a completely new design with a low center of gravity, minimalist style and efficiency. The new design of the 86 makes the car look stronger and more muscular thanks to the ducktail spoiler integrated into the rear trunk, creating a strong impression similar to the car’s performance.

The proportions of the 2nd generation 86 have become more practical thanks to the longer and lower coupe body design (the car is 25mm longer and 10mm lower), the body looks more solid thanks to the length of the engine. The wheelbase is lengthened (+5mm) with an increased rear track width (+10mm), and the wheels are larger (up from 17-inch to 18-inch).

Based on the Premium version, the Toyota GR86 Special Edition has an exclusive Solar Shift paint color. The black spoiler at the rear contrasts with the exterior color and the unique set of GR stamps for the C-pillars. Forged wheels are also exclusive equipment for the GR86 Special Edition. Still 18 inches in size, but this set of wheels is tailored and finished in matte black. Comes with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.

No pictures of the interior have been revealed, but the Japanese automaker says that the GR86 Special Edition will have a leather/Ultrasuede cabin, special badges in the same color as the body.

The all-new model 86 is equipped with a 4-cylinder, 2.4L naturally aspirated boxer engine, for a capacity of 230 horsepower and maximum torque of 250Nm, combined with a gearbox. 6-speed automatic allows faster gear changes and an improved Sport driving mode increases the driving feeling more exciting for the driver.

The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km / h in just 6.9 seconds. On the other hand, the car also achieves a shorter braking distance from the 100 km/h mark to a complete stop. In addition, the fine-tuned electronic throttle allows the engine to accelerate more flexibly at high rpm, making it easier for the driver to control the force of movement on corners.

The price as well as the sale time of the Toyota GR86 Special Edition 2023 has not been announced by the Japanese automaker.
