Teenager falls into a deep abyss because he worries about “virtual life” on Son Tra peninsula
On the evening of March 12, the Department of Fire Prevention and Control – Da Nang City Police managed to save a teenager who had slipped into a 15m deep ravine on Son Tra peninsula. The initial cause was determined that this person was busy taking pictures, not looking at the road, thus having an accident.
The rescue team is trying to move the victim from the depths
The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on March 12, on a slope near the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Son Tra peninsula. This is a very high slope with a large incline. The victim named Le Van Huy K. (2007), residing in Hoa Vang, Da Nang suffered a fractured femur. The victim was then approached by medics and provided first aid but was unable to move up due to the sloping incline.
Rescue teams are struggling to get victims to safety
The group of friends traveling with K said that because the victim was walking backwards to take pictures, he did not look at the road, so he slipped and fell. The group then came to the aid of nearby resort staff and called professional rescuers.
K. handed over to the medical team for treatment
Upon receiving the news, the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Suppression and the CNCH dispatched rescue vehicles and a working group to deploy troops to approach the victim. Captain Nguyen Van Dong of the Fire and Rescue Task Force, who directly participated in rescue at the scene, said the victim was tied to a stretcher before using an ingenious crutch to climb up. “Due to the complicated terrain where the victim was in the accident, it was difficult to get to the scene, the victim suffered a fracture of the right femur and was given first aid in time by the medical team,” said Captain Dong.
