Haven’t received enough clean land, investor of Long Thanh airport is worried about delay

Long Thanh airport project has a total area of 5,000 hectares. In phase 1 of the project, Dong Nai province has to hand over to ACV more than 2,530 hectares of land, of which more than 1,800 hectares belong to the airport land area and more than 700 hectares of redundant land reserve. Up to now, Long Thanh district has officially handed over (granted a certificate of land use rights) to the Southern Airport Authority of nearly 1,300 hectares. For the area of excess land, the locality has handed over nearly 200 hectares, it is expected that by the end of March 2022, about 300 hectares will be handed over.
According to Mr. Le Van Tiep – Chairman of Long Thanh District People’s Committee, out of more than 2,530 hectares of land in phase 1 of Long Thanh airport, there is still a small part of the land that has not been handed over, but the locality faces difficulties because most of it is here. Therefore, Dong Nai province wishes to have guidance to handle this issue soon.

On the side of the investor, Mr. Nguyen Khac Phong – Deputy Director of the Project Management Board said that the biggest difficulty now is the premises. Currently, the local side has not handed over enough land area of phase 1 of Long Thanh airport project, affecting the progress of the project.
“We hope that Dong Nai province will actively hand over the rest of the land area so that we can increase our 3 shifts, working day and night, promptly handing over the station area for construction, as well as the construction of other facilities. the area of runways, taxiways, parking lots, and airport infrastructure works,” said Mr. Nguyen Khac Phong.
