The number of serious patients being treated is 4,225 cases, of which:

– Breathing oxygen through a mask: 3,503 cases

– HFNC high-flow oxygen: 316 cases

– Non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 99 cases

– Invasive mechanical ventilation: 301 cases

– ECMO: 6 shifts

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam so far is 42,014 cases, accounting for 0.5% of the total number of infections.

Up to now, the number of deaths from Covid-19 in our country ranks 24 out of 225 territories. The number of deaths per million people ranks 129th out of 225 countries and territories in the world. Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per million people ranked 24th/49 Asian countries and territories (ranked 4th in ASEAN).

Regarding the vaccination situation, on March 21, 201,193 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 202,029,331 doses.
