The survey aims to provide a basis for the adjustment of the regional minimum wage in 2023 and to make policies on labor and wages in various types of enterprises.
Specifically, about 2,000 enterprises in 18 provinces and cities representing 8 economic regions of the country with a large number of enterprises and a developed labor market will participate in the survey. In which, the 3 localities with the most surveyed enterprises are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with 150 enterprises/city.
Surveyed enterprises must be established and have production and business activities before January 1, 2021 and are still operating up to this point.
In addition to the production and business situation of enterprises such as expenses, salary fund, social insurance costs, profit before tax and payables, the survey content also includes the implementation of a number of contents. of the Labor Code on labor contracts and labor agreements; recruitment and retraining.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will also survey the labor situation and wages of enterprises, including: number and structure of employees, minimum wages, salary scale, salary regulations, and salary levels. In addition, the Ministry will also examine the method of adjusting wages of enterprises when the State adjusts the regional minimum wage in 2022, and the opinions of enterprises on the expected regional minimum wage adjustment in 2020. 2023.
The region’s minimum wage has not increased for two consecutive years due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. From January 1, 2020, to date, the minimum wage for Region I is 4.42 million VND, Region II is 3.92 million VND, Region III is 3.42 million VND and Region IV is 3.07 million VND.
