Recently, a Slovak company announced a flying taxi that it touts as the ‘world’s first’ with four seats, with plans to put it into service in just five years. AeroMobil said the AM NEXT is the second model in its flying car line, which is expected to go into service in 2027.
AeroMobil says the flying car is capable of switching between road and air modes in less than three minutes, which will save passengers ‘significant’ time when traveling distances between 160 and 800 km. between major cities.
According to the company, passengers will be able to enjoy the convenience and comfort of their seats, where they can work, play, rest or simply enjoy the view on the go. There are no details yet on the price of the flying taxi or how much passengers will have to pay.
AM NEXT is the follow-up to the AM4.0 flying car that AeroMobil first debuted at the Paris International Air Show in June 2017.
