U23 Dubai Cup: U23 Vietnam reunites with U23 Iraq in the match for 7th place

In the second round match taking place on the evening of March 26, U23 Vietnam team lost 0 – 1 to U23 Croatia.

Despite possessing a force of very young players, Croatia U23 is still considered to have a higher level than U23 Vietnam. The reality on the field has shown that Croatia U23 played more dominantly and won a deserved victory.

Evaluation of the Dubai International U23 2022 is an important test tournament for the upcoming goals, acting head coach Lee Young Jin does not miss the opportunity for personnel trials. In this match, Mr. Lee also created favorable conditions for Van Do, Minh Khoa, Van Dat, Quang Nho and Quoc Viet to enter the field in the second half.

According to the current rankings, on March 29, the U23 Vietnam team will play in the third round against the opponent in the first match, U23 Iraq at (ranked 7, with the same point as the U23 Vietnam team) before return.

According to the agreement of the organizers and representatives of the teams participating in the tournament, the teams in the same group in the final round of the U23 Asian Cup 2022 will not meet. Specifically: the teams that will not meet are Uzbekistan and Qatar (Group A); Vietnam and Thailand (Table C); Saudi Arabia, UAE and Japan (Table D).

Therefore, because the top team of Japan U23 cannot meet the second team U23 Saudi Arabia, and the fourth team UAE, their most likely opponent in the third round is the third team U23 China. Similarly, U23 Saudi Arabia is likely to meet the fifth Croatian team to compete for third place.
