What’s special about Ford Bronco 6×6 version?

The tuning company from the US has just released an image of the first Ford Bronco upgraded to 6 wheels.

Famous tuning company Apocalypse, based in Florida (USA), known as the birthplace of tall 6-wheel off-road vehicles, has just introduced the Bronco 6×6 model. The upgrade project is called Dark Horse. The off-road SUV model has 37-inch Milestar Patagonia M/T off-road tires and aggressive 20-inch rims.

The original length of the Ford Bronco was 4,800 mm, but to accommodate the 6-wheel configuration, the engineering team extended it to 5,715 mm. The steps up and down have also been replaced with a stronger steel one. The lighting system is enhanced with a bright LED cluster hidden in the front bumper.

A clear highlight on the exterior is a set of 37-inch “super giant” off-road tires and a pitiful 20-inch rim. To match the new set of tires, the tuner also installed fender covers. The rear trunk is more than 1.5 meters long as an additional detail, the original Bronco is a 7-seater SUV.

Undercarriage is raised by 10 cm. The tuner also fitted a spare wheel at the rear. The upgraded version uses a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engine, but has been remap, replaced with a completely new injector and exhaust system to increase capacity from 330 horsepower to about 400 horsepower. That power is sent to all six wheels thanks to Apocalypse’s patented central cardan shaft.

In addition, the 4 car doors can also be disassembled to help the driver enjoy the feeling of being close to nature while driving. The appearance is muscular, but the interior in the Bronco 6×6 is quite deep. Apocalypse has re-upholstered the interior in brown and black leather that the tuner calls King Ranch, this leather is water-resistant and waterproof, which will be very useful when you’re driving on sandy terrain roads, dust.

The cost for the version was not disclosed. Apocalypse is known as a custom company specializing in making models pickup truck or 6-wheel SUV.
