Strong reduction of environmental tax: Gasoline prices fell, oil prices increased sharply
The Inter-Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance decided to reduce gasoline prices in the operating period on April 1. This is the second time in a row that gasoline prices have decreased in 2022 due to a sharp reduction in the environmental protection tax.
Whereby, gas price E5RON92 has a selling price of 27,300 VND / liter (down 1,030 VND / liter compared to the current price).
RON95-III petrol price is 28,150 VND/liter (down 1,040 VND/liter compared to the current retail price).
Gasoline prices fell but oil prices increased quite high.
The selling price of 0.05S diesel oil is VND 25,080/liter (up to VND 1,450/liter compared to the current retail price).
The selling price of kerosene is 23,760 VND/liter (an increase of 1,520 VND/liter compared to the current retail price).
This price applies from 0:00 on April 1.

According to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, from April 1, the environmental protection tax on gasoline will be reduced by 2,000 VND / liter, from 4,000 VND / liter to 2,000 VND / liter.
In addition, the environmental protection tax on diesel, fuel oil and lubricants will be reduced by 1,000 VND/liter, from 2,000 VND/liter to 1,000 VND/liter.
Lubricant reduced by 1,000 VND/kg, from 2,000 VND/kg to 1,000 VND/kg.
Kerosene decreased by 700 VND/liter, from 1,000 VND/liter to the floor level of 300 VND/liter.
Flight fuel kept at the current level is being reduced by 1,500 VND/liter.
The Resolution takes effect from April 1, 2022 to the end of December 31, 2022.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that although the environmental protection tax was reduced, but due to the high increase in world gasoline prices, especially the prices of oils, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade – Finance had to use a combination of the BOG gasoline fund. oil at a reasonable level (adjusting the level of appropriation and expenditure for the use of the BOG Fund for gasoline and oil products) to reduce gasoline prices and limit the increase in oil prices compared to the increase in world prices.
If the environmental protection tax remains at the old rate, the domestic gasoline price in this operating period will increase from 1,069-2,789 VND/liter/kg (specifically, E5RON92 gasoline increases by 1,069 VND/liter, RON95 gasoline increases by 1,161 VND/liter, and oil) diesel increased by 2,547 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 2,789 VND/liter, fuel oil increased by 1,606 VND/liter).
