“I don’t want to be in this house anymore!” – the sound of my father-in-law shouting at me was like a painful slap. Then he immediately went back to his room, slammed the door, and a moment later he grabbed his bag of clothes and left the house without saying goodbye. Both looked at me in anger, because I had just made my father-in-law angry, while I was also very surprised to wonder: What did I do wrong?

Just because I can’t cook well, my father-in-law grumbled: “There are meals that many people eat and they can’t cook well”. Then while I was busy washing dishes, my father-in-law shouted: “The house is so dirty, why doesn’t anyone clean and mop the house?”. I overheard it and said confusedly: “Yes, I’ll clean the house in a moment. I’m done washing the dishes”. Before I could take off the apron, my father-in-law was already so angry.

No one in the family would listen to me, just look at me like a criminal. What was received from everyone was just a reproach: “Knowing my father’s character, what I say I have to do, just keep it up like that, don’t get angry. Go and find him.” Before, my father-in-law was not like that. Only a few months ago, my father-in-law had a grudge against me, did not satisfy me, hinted at me.

So, I had to send text messages, call and beg my father-in-law to forgive me. But then in vain, my father-in-law did not reply even though I texted him promising never to upset him again… But then a few days ago, my father-in-law actively contacted me, saying that want to meet privately to discuss family matters.

I felt nervous and stressed when on the way to the appointment with my father-in-law. Contrary to my thoughts, my father-in-law did not scold, but gently and calmly, also praised me for being a filial daughter-in-law, wholeheartedly for her husband’s family. I’m so happy, I don’t know what to say because I’m so happy. My father-in-law began to set a condition: “I will come home, happy, no more scolding you. Just promise me one thing.”

Having fun, I immediately agreed. My father-in-law said: “I’m also heartbroken, I can’t bear to do this. As long as you sign the denial of the property, the house my parents are holding in my husband’s name, as well as forgive my husband and son back and forth. I went out and had a child. My father came to take me out of pity for his grandson. Now we have broken up. I will ignore it for my father and for this house. I will forgive everything for you, not harsh. with you again”.

I was really shocked, it turned out that my father-in-law intentionally pressed me to fall into this awkward situation. If I agree, it’s too unfair to me, I have to endure my husband’s adultery, and I won’t get anything if I get a divorce. And if I don’t agree, it will be difficult to live at my husband’s house. With the reason that my father-in-law had to leave the house, the whole neighborhood and relatives already knew, if there was a divorce, no one would believe my words to reveal the truth.

To this day, I am still shocked and confused, I am disoriented, I don’t know if my father-in-law still has any other plans. From that day until now, my father-in-law continuously flattered and threatened me so that I would agree to the conditions he set forth. What can I do? Should he accept the unreasonable conditions of his father-in-law, or bravely divorce to leave that house?
