FPT makes a “real-virtual is one” metaverse, all FPT students must learn blockchain and metaverse
On the afternoon of April 7, FPT Corporation held the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. At the meeting, Chairman Truong Gia Binh shared about the corporation’s vision for blockchain and metaverse.
Mr. Binh said, the way FPT is thinking about the metaverse, is the “real-virtual is one” metaverse. There are “pure virtual” metaverses like Axie Infinity, but FPT is more inclined to “real-virtual is one”, because FPT thinks that this model will be much more sustainable than the pure digital metaverse.
For example, the Meduverse program, a combination of Education and Metaverse, is a new learning technology, so that children love to learn, but learn very deeply, very well, very creatively, the model there must be the role of the student in the metaverse world.
“It’s a bit early to say it now, but hopefully in the near future you’ll see FPT’s metaverse put into practice, in the life of both Vietnam and the world,” said Mr. Truong Gia Binh.

Regarding blockchain, Mr. Binh said that FPT made the earliest blockchain in Vietnam. The first customer of FPT is Singapore Airlines. Since then, FPT has had a platform and leading experts in blockchain and NFT. Now, FPT is preparing not to work for customers anymore, but to make FPT’s own products. FPT aims at global blockchain protocols implemented by FPT itself.
According to Mr. Binh, at the blockchain conference organized by Binance in Dubai, Vietnam was recognized as the blockchain center of the world. This morning, FPT asked all students of FPT university system to learn blockchain and metaverse.
