Vietnam women’s futsal team rematch with Warriors Club

Compared to the 1-5 defeat in the first leg, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team has made a huge transition in terms of expertise when entering the second leg. It is no longer easy to lose the game even though the opponent is leading early in the 5th minute, the female players are full of confidence in controlling the ball and organizing rhythmic movements to find a goal. The efforts of coach Truong Quoc Tuan’s teachers and students paid off in the 33rd minute, Trinh Ngoc Hoa finished a dangerous corner to equalize the score 1-1.

The Vietnamese women’s futsal team continued to maintain a dominant position, however, being absorbed in the attack also made the team reveal a gap in defense, creating an opportunity for the opponent to increase the score to 2-1 in the 37th minute. With only 3 minutes left, coach Truong Quoc Tuan let his students use power-play tactics (kick 5 bridges). This is also the first time after 4 friendly matches, the coaching staff for the whole team applies this tactic to unlock the match.

In the 39th minute, from the left wing lane, Ngoc Hoa surprised when she shot into a tight corner to hit the opponent’s net and set the score 2-2. This is also the second goal of the player wearing the number 8 shirt in this match.

Sharing about the first time allowing students to apply power-play tactics, coach Truong Quoc Tuan said: “The time to review the force has ended, the whole team has moved to the stage of professional preparation. At 14:00 pm on April 16, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team will enter the final friendly match in the domestic preparation time, against Thai Son Nam futsal club. After this match, the coaching staff will reduce the list to 18 players before having a training trip abroad to complete the preparation for the 31st SEA Games.
