Quarter I/2022: Average monthly income of employees increased by 1 million VND

According to the report on the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the employment situation in the first quarter of 2022 by the General Statistics Office, average income of workers nationwide in the first quarter reached 6.4 million VND/month, an increase of 1 million VND compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 110,000 VND compared to the same period last year.

The average income of male workers is 7.3 million VND/month, 1.36 times higher than the average income of female workers is 5.4 million VND/month.

Workers in Ho Chi Minh City achieved the highest average income in the first quarter of 2022 in the country with 8.9 million VND/month, followed by Binh Duong and Dong Nai. Specifically: Laborers in Ho Chi Minh City earn an average monthly income of 8.9 million VND, up 36.5%, equivalent to 2.4 million VND compared to the previous quarter. Laborers in Binh Duong earn an average monthly income of 8.6 million VND, an increase of 54%, equivalent to an increase of 3 million VND compared to the previous quarter.

Similarly in Dong Nai, the average monthly income of workers reached 8.5 million VND, an increase of nearly 33%, equivalent to about 2.1 million VND.

The average income of laborers in Hanoi in the first quarter was recorded at 8.5 million VND, up 17.4%, equivalent to 1.3 million VND/month in comparison with the previous quarter; workers in Bac Ninh have an average income of 8.2 million VND/month, up 8.3% and workers in Hai Phong have 7.8 million VND/person/month, up 8.3% compared to fourth quarter of 2021.
