About 2 weeks ago, the village League of Legends China had a shock when LGD Gaming player Jay was found to be selling matches and fixing the scores. As a result, this guy received a lifetime ban, not being allowed to participate in any tournaments run by Riot, Tencent or TJ Esports. In addition, Jay is also not allowed to livestream content related to League of Legends. This guy is even in danger of being sued by LGD.

About 2 weeks ago, Jay of team LGD received a lifetime ban

Jay’s incident has not been long since yesterday – April 19, a series of players from the youth team of the organization Top Esports received the same punishment. The story begins on April 9 when the coaching staff of the TES.C team reported to the LDL tournament (2nd division of the LPL) about the suspicion of 3 players Yang “Ylaht” Da, Wen “Novice”. Jiahao and Li “DT99” Xingjia sell degrees.

Immediately after that, Top Esports organization terminated the contract with the 3 players mentioned above and coordinated with the LDL organizers to investigate and clarify the incident. After about 10 days of investigation and clarification, the LDL organizers confirmed that 3 players of the TES.C team had intentionally tried to fix the scores, sell matches and seriously damage the fairness of the tournament. As for Top Esports, with timely notification and good coordination to investigate, this organization was not subject to any fines.

3 TES.C players were found to have half-matching behavior after the match against OMG’s youth team at the LDL tournament.

The penalty for 3 players Yang “Ylaht” Da, Wen “Novice” Jiahao and Li “DT99” Xingjia is a lifetime ban, not being allowed to participate in any tournaments run by Riot, Tencent or TJ Esports. In addition, these players are also not entitled to livestream content related to League of Legends similar to Jay’s case before.

This can be said to be the heaviest punishment ever given to a professional player. Even the case of “global ban” like Zeros you can still livestream League of Legends, attend some movement tournaments. It must be said again and again that selling and fixing scores for LoL in particular and Esports in general is always unacceptable. Therefore, the above punishment is also appropriate.

At least “Fire Cricket” can still livestream League of Legends despite receiving a “global ban” sentence
