Another 7,116 cases of COVID-19, Hanoi still have 913 F0, with 3 deaths

On April 28, there were 7,116 new cases of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health said. In a day, the number of recovered patients is 11 times higher than the number of new cases. Deaths fell to 3.

Information on new COVID-19 cases:

– From 4:00 p.m. on April 27 to 4:00 p.m. on April 28, on the National Case Management System COVID-19 recorded 7,116 new infections were recorded in the country (down 888 cases compared to the previous day) in 58 provinces and cities (there were 5,862 cases in the community).

– The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day: Vinh Phuc (+119), Ha Tinh (+102), Dak Nong (+82).

– Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days: 8,758 cases/day.

The situation of COVID-19 epidemic in Vietnam:

– Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has 10,638,632 infections, ranking 12/227 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections/1 million people, Vietnam ranks 104/227 countries and territories (107,538 cases on average for every 1 million people).

– The 4th epidemic (from April 27, 2021 to present):

+ The number of infections recorded in the country is 10,630,883 cases, of which 9,239,486 patients have been declared cured.

+ Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,584,454), Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (608,242), Nghe An (481,009), Bac Giang (385,103), Binh Duong (383,360).

COVID-19 treatment situation

1. Number of recovered patients:

– The patient was announced to be cured within the day: 79,171 cases

– Total number of cured cases: 9,242,303 cases

2. The number of patients who are breathing oxygen is 629, of which:

– Breathing oxygen through a mask: 517 cases

– HFNC high-flow oxygen: 47 cases

– Non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 12 cases

– Invasive mechanical ventilation: 52 cases

– ECMO: 1 shift

3. Number of patients who died:

– From 17:30 on April 27 to 17:30 on April 28, 3 deaths were recorded in: Kien Giang (1), Lam Dong (1), Tay Ninh (1).

– Average number of deaths recorded in the past 07 days: 7 cases.

– The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam so far is 43,037, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

– The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and territories in the world. Compared with Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 25/49 Asian countries and territories (ranked 4th in ASEAN).

Test situation

The number of tests from April 27, 2021 to now has been carried out 39,495,440 samples equivalent to 85,795,583 turns of people, an increase of 1,045 samples compared to the previous day.

Situation of vaccination against COVID-19

On April 27, 327,296 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of doses of vaccine injected is 213,645,290 doses, of which:

+ Number of injections for people aged 18 and over is 195,134,871 doses: 1st dose is 71,440,954 doses; The second dose is 68,627,272 doses; The third dose is 1,505,909 doses; The additional dose is 15,225,865 doses; The booster dose is 38,334,871 doses.

+ Number of doses for children aged 12-17 is 17,360,022 doses: 1st dose is 8,898,577 doses; The second dose is 8,461,445 doses.

+ Number of doses for children from 5-11 years old is 1,150,397 doses (1st dose).

– On April 27, 2022, the Ministry of Health issued Official Letter 2139/BYT-TB-CT annulling documents related to biological products/medical TTB for in vitro diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 testing.

– The Ministry of Health is submitting a report and seeking opinions on the Government’s draft Decree on detailed regulations and measures to implement Resolution No. 12/2021/UBTVQH15 dated December 30, 2021 of the National Standing Committee on allowing the implementation of a number of mechanisms and policies in the health sector to serve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.

– The Ministry of Health is reviewing documents, assessing the situation, in the immediate future consider suspending the implementation of domestic medical declaration to facilitate the movement of people. In the event of a dangerous new strain or unusual development of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Health will re-apply the domestic health declaration and notify specifically to provinces and cities.
