And it’s time to say goodbye to Bethesda’s PC game launcher. Starting April 27, players will be able to transfer their game library, as well as DLC, virtual currency, in-game items, and friends lists to their Steam accounts. Users still have until May 11 to play on the Bethesda PC launcher. After that date, the PC launcher will not allow access to any games anymore. But users will still be able to access their Bethesda.net accounts and transfer games to Steam after May 11.

Players should first read the detailed instructions on the Bethesda website before migrating data. Any games the user already owns or has purchased will be available for free on Steam.

However, the transfer process can be a bit complicated, with most game saves being migrated automatically, but some will require players to do it manually. Such as players DOOM Eternal will have to manually copy the saved files to the Steam folder. Bethesda has some updated guides for players DOOM Eternal at https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/55671. Player Fallout 76 should note that there is a special tool available to make the migration easier, as well as extensive Q&A questions that need to be read before doing so. And Wolfenstein: Youngblood Currently no migration is allowed.

The move can be frustrating, but Bethesda is appeasing its player community by offering some new games on Steam. Including The Elder Scrolls Arena, The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall, Creation Kit for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
