Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (born in 1969, born in Bac Ninh), Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Progressive International Joint Stock Company (AIC). From a labor export trader, Ms. Nhan became a doctorate and academician before implementing many scandalous projects.

In 1999, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan was an officer in charge of labor export at Construction and Trading Company (Traenco, under the Ministry of Transport). At the beginning of the 2000s, labor export to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Middle East, etc. was a “scam” field for units carrying out the sending of workers abroad. In addition, for each trip, workers have to pay hundreds of millions of dong.

In 2005, Traenco was equitized and fell into the hands of Mrs. Nhan, changed its name to Progressive International Joint Stock Company (AIC), headquartered at 69 Tue Tinh, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. At that time, AIC not only exported labor but also signed a contract to provide human resources for industrial parks and export processing zones in Vietnam. AIC’s workers are mainly taken from the people who have returned from working abroad.

Rising rapidly by sending workers to sell their labor, AIC expanded its business and became a multi-industry corporation operating in fields such as healthcare, education, technology, etc.

In the field of education, AIC Group won many bidding packages related to the supply of teaching equipment and training courses for English teachers.

For the medical field, AIC Group is a supplier of equipment for medical contractors, even directly participating in many bidding packages for supply and installation of wastewater and waste treatment equipment in many hospitals. institute.

Among them, there are a number of deals such as: Bidding package “Construction and installation of waste water and waste treatment equipment (05 medical facilities: Nursing and rehabilitation hospital; Tan Bien district hospital) ; Tan Chau District Hospital; Reproductive Health Care Center; Tay Ninh Provincial General Hospital)”, under the project: “Upgrading and renovating the medical waste treatment system at 9 medical facilities Tay Ninh province”; Package XL01: “Construction and installation of equipment for wastewater treatment systems and ancillary works” under the project: “Support for waste treatment of hospitals in the area of ​​Bach Mai Hospital”; Package 04: “Wastewater treatment equipment + Incinerator”, project: “Wastewater and solid waste treatment system – Gia Lai Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation”; Package “Purchase of equipment + Installation of equipment”, under the project: “Upgrading medical waste treatment system of Son La Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Disease”.

However, there are many projects of AIC that, despite their grand claims, are not implemented, or implemented in the “elephant-tailed” manner.

In 2010, AIC was assigned by Hanoi People’s Committee to implement a waste treatment project of 2,000 tons/day in Nam Son, Soc Son (Nam Son landfill). The project is expected to be put into use in 2011. However, up to now, the project is still just… a landfill, becoming a pain point for the people of the Capital.

In 2013, AIC won the contract for a waste treatment project worth 31 billion VND of Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, but the new project put into use broke down many times, causing a waste of the State budget.

In the field of education, in 2014 AIC Group implemented the Smart Education branded Tablet project of AIC Group. The project is called 123 (bringing textbooks and tablets into public primary schools) of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City. With this project, AIC is suspected of importing 3,500 cheap tablets (about 500-700,000 VND) from Taiwan but selling them to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training for 3 million VND/piece. However, at that time, Ms. Nhan denied these suspicions through the media.

Before that, in 2013, AIC won the bidding package No. 2: “Purchase equipment for foreign language classrooms in junior high schools, high schools, secondary schools, high schools” under the project: “Strengthening foreign language teaching and learning in the national education system” people” of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; or the bidding package “Purchase of computer equipment and multi-purpose classroom equipment for public elementary, junior high and high schools in Bac Ninh province”.

Surprisingly, in 2017, Ms. Nhan was ranked by Forbes Vietnam in the list of 50 most influential women in Vietnam. At the same time, AIC Group emerged as a pioneer in providing equipment and technology solutions for the digital transformation process, building e-government and smart cities for localities. , unit.

For example, in Quang Ninh, in 2019, AIC Group of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan once marked with the operation of the Smart City Operation Center of the province after more than 4 months of implementation.

In the same year, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan participated in pressing the button to pilot the Smart City Operation Center in her hometown of Bac Ninh. The software of this center is provided by AIC Group.

Before that, Ms. Nhan and AIC Group had working sessions with leaders of Hai Duong, Yen Bai, Dong Nai and many other localities related to smart city construction projects.

In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Vietnam, AIC Group also quickly developed an online learning software called AIC Education and a medical application “Covid-19” to update information about the disease.
