According to the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province, from May 26, 2022, it will temporarily suspend the receipt of applications for renting a forest environment for tourism, resort and entertainment business in the province until the authorities complete the work. complete legal documents and have specific instructions.

Up to now, in Lam Dong province, there are about 290 applications for renting forest environment from organizations and individuals.

Previously, on April 19, Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee reported to the Prime Minister on the results of forest management, protection, development and handling of violations in the forestry sector from 2018 to the first quarter of this year. 2022.

Regarding the management and protection of forests, during the above period, the functional agencies of Lam Dong province detected and made records to handle 2,856 violations. In which, there are 1,340 cases of unidentified violators.

The total damaged forest area is 204.21ha. Of which, 12,240.5m3 of forest products were damaged due to deforestation. 147 cases Deforest complex and outstanding.

Regarding the encroachment on forestry land, Lam Dong province discovered and made a dossier to handle 1,410 cases with a total area of ​​431.8ha.

Currently, in Lam Dong province, there are 322 projects of 307 enterprises that have been assigned and leased forests and forestry land to deploy investment projects, with a total area of ​​52,722ha. From 2008 to now, Lam Dong province has withdrawn 208 projects with 30,469ha.

Of which, 172 projects were completely withdrawn (26,226 ha) and 36 projects were partially recovered (4,242 ha) due to violations by the investor. Law of the Land, Investment Law and Forestry Law.
