Sony’s first QD-OLED starts at $3,000

According to Engadgetmost notably, the line Bravia The XR Master A95K using Quantum Dot OLED (QD-OLED) technology will start at $3,000 for the 55-inch model and increase to $4,000 for the 65-inch model. Both of these 4K TVs are available for pre-order and purchase in June. Choosing the larger A80K model will cost users between $2,000 and $3,800 for the 55-inch to 77-inch screen variants, with most pre-orders starting this month. The low-cost LED-based X90K will cost $1,400 for the 55-inch model and $3,300 for the 85-inch model, with most pre-orders starting in May.

For Sony 8K TV models, users have to pay $7,000 for the 75-inch Z9K model and $10,000 for the 85-inch Z9K model. Both are mini LED TVs and include built-in cameras.

Basically, Sony’s OLED TV models are more expensive than some of its models LG and Samsung, however Sony’s products are strongly focused on quality and impressive design touches. In addition, Sony products operate on the Android TV platform, while Samsung uses Tizen and LG uses webOS.
